Throughout the year, HFAC hosts Information Sessions, Trading Competitions, a Speaker Series, and Stock Pitch Competitions.
Information Sessions are exclusive events hosted with firms such as Goldman Sachs, Point72, J.P. Morgan, Centerbridge Partners, Warburg Pincus, TA Associates, Ratio Advisors, Gold Coast Search Partners, and others.
Trading Competitions and lectures hosted by firms such as DRW and Citadel give members the opportunity to learn more about quantitative trading.
Speaker Series provides opportunities for members to learn from and network with prominent investors. HFAC has previously hosted Gregg Lemkau (BDT & MSD Partners), Kelly Morrell (Blackstone), Josh Rosenbaum (RBC Capital Markets), Collin Roche (GTCR), David Tunnell (H&F), and Purnima Puri (HPS), among others.
Stock Pitch Competitions co-hosted with firms such as Point72 and Alta Fox Capital are platforms through which undergraduate students across the country can apply their knowledge and skills to gain recognition for their abilities.
Wall Street and Omaha Treks
In February, HFAC Board visits the NYC offices of various buyside firms before reconnecting with HFAC alumni through a meal. In May, HFAC also visits Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting.
Firm Events
HFAC hosts a variety of events for leading firms to provide members an opportunity to learn about the different paths in finance as well as to foster networking.
Trading Games
HFAC also hosts trading games and poker tournaments throughout the year in collaboration with our corporate sponsors for members interested in quantitative finance.
